The Festival season has begun in the primary schools. Each Family within the Partnership has already set dates and determined what the focus for each year group will be. Year 3 & 4 children in some families focus on Basketball.

The SSCo along with the Community Basketball coach will organize a two-hour festival that features station work for the first hour; children moving from station to station, practising passing, shooting and dribbling. Station work is then followed by an hour of games.

In particular this year, we found that the children enjoyed playing mini-games on two courts while other children were playing the new favorite amongst the Partnership, 'Head Teacher's Office'. 'Head Teacher's Office' is a shooting game where children attempt to keep scoring goals to stay out of the Head Teacher's Office.
