Cambridgeshire County Basketball Update

In mid March, schools in the Cambridge District were asked to submit names of players that might be interested to trial for the U13-U15-U17 girls County Basketball Teams.

Squads were chosen and girls representing Cambridgeshire at the InterCounty Tournament were:
U17 Girls
Bottisham Village College - Kezia Adams, Millie Breen, Sarah Locker, Becca Knowles and Ebony Rankine
Swavesey - Sophie Woodhead
TDA - Jessica Chesney
Witchford Village College - Robyn Seabright

U15 Girls
Bottisham Village College - Freya Williams
Cottenham - Rebecca Sharpe, Ellen Whyatt
Chesterton - Georgia Deeks
Perse Girls - Joanna Ede
St Bedes - Frankie Ashby
St Ivo - Drew Jenkins, Samantha Booth, LeAnne Bucciero
Witchford Village College - Robyn Seabright, Rebecca Pedley

Following on from the InterCounty Tournament, 20 players were chosen from each group to trial for the East Region teams. Cambridgeshire saw the following players making these squads.
U17 Boys - Toby Andrews (Sawston Village College), Joel Matt (Bury Upper School)
U17 Girls - Millie Breen (Bottisham Village College)
U15 Boys - Sam Somersheslam (St Bedes)
U13 Boys - Jake Jupp (Bottisham Village College) 

The girls continue to practice on Thursday evenings with the women from 7.00 - 8.30 pm at St Bedes.
