Cambridge HotShots Basketball Club is a social basketball programme for adult women wanting to get back into sports. You may be a first time player or maybe someone who hasn't played for awhile or maybe you play for one of the colleges or clubs in Cambridge and want a bit more practice. All women are welcome!
That means any woman, any age and any ability is welcome to give us a try at our weekly sessions. Every Thursday we learn new skills and play a great game at the end. We are growing in ability and numbers as players come and go. We are always happy to see returning players that have gone off to uni or those who have taken a break to have a baby or maybe you have been working in another city for awhile. We are also happy to see new players that would like to try us out to see what we are about.
Why not join us this week?
We meet weekly on Thursday evenings from 7.00 - 8.30 pm at the St Bedes Sports Centre on Birdwood Road. We have no member fees but charge a session fee of £3.00 to cover venue charges.
FUNDING!!! Cambridge Hotshots was successful in securing a funding bid from Sportivate this year. The Sportivate programme is part of the Play strand of Sport England’s mass participation legacy programme ‘Places, People, Play’. The overall aim of the programme is to get 300,000 participants aged 14-25 years to complete weekly coaching sessions over the 4 years, with two in five (120,000) to carry on playing sport regularly.
